I unlocked an older Panasonic phone from Vodafone once, and it did not change the way the software looked, features etc., just made it possible to use on any network (with a SIM card) But im sure now a days you can do so much more

T-mobile and At&t and pretty much every other cell service provider overseas = gsm network which = unlocked phones w/ sim cards

Verizon = Cdma network which = no unlocked phones cause Verizon doesn't use sim cards

Thanks guys, I bought my phone december 2nd, I was afraid that it wouldn't be covered under the warranty, but it was. I walked in said I had software issues, they looked at it and saw it shut off on its own. Said, what is your info, I am sorry we don't have a voyager in stock, can we send you one fedex. It will be here on friday. Thanks V8Beast for the tips.
