schmuckingham
What do you guys usually use to seal up your AN fittings on the male end????
boosted98gst
thin white teflon tape.
GSXRAntwon
There is no need for tape on AN fittings. They are tapered fittings on the male and female end. Just snug them up and let the taper do the work.
Scotty2Hotty
Push Loc doesn't need them either. Just plug and play. I usually take some oil on my finger and run it around the threads.

I guess ill test fit it and see what happens ( fuel spraying all over the engine bay and under-side of my truck most likely) Thanks for the replies
mrtbolt64
If there SAE straight threads than no tape is needed but if it is pipe "taper" thread then yes, you need tape.

Dave1647545494
you should not need a sealant for an AN fitting
Guest Removed
only sealant is on the pipe threads of a an fitting
TA In Progress
The 51 has at least 12 AN fittings on it and not one bit of tape or sealant. If your talking about an AN to NPT fitting you would use tape or sealant on the NPT end only
schmuckingham
Yea i know you do on NPT fittings, i had a momentary brain fart thinking i used AN fittings on my trans cooler when in reality it was those crimp over existing line crush sleeves...........those suck
TA In Progress
You should try the sealant that Loctite makes, it's in a small white tube. It works great, much quicker than teflon tape, and it goes a long way.
