thorne
drives working just fine, thank you chris. here my specs, (jones would know, he pretty much built it for me) pentium d805 dual core, 3.4 ghz 2 gigs of ram nvidia 8800gtx three 250gb hdd's striped together everything about my system seems slower than before. even my web surfing has gotten slower. i will say this, my desktop is a lot prettier () This may sound stupid but upgrade to 4gigs of ram. It helped my machine a lot.
87GT
I use a Zune on my Vista pc, and it recognizes it perfectly. BTW, my pc now boots from a dead start to idle in under 30 seconds. Hot

Ramsey
My macbook starts up from dead start to idle in 20 seconds. my work-non-vista-desktop, dead start to cr in 20 seconds. I am not gonna lie, vista is still kinda slow.
Orion
This may sound stupid but upgrade to 4gigs of ram. It helped my machine a lot it only sounds stupid because theres no effing way i should need to max out my ram slots just to get my damn os to work at a decent speed. of course more ram helps, but that same setup blazed using xp pro, and that ram doesnt even hardly get used for the graphics. how many stock computers (read: off the shelf) nowadays come with 4 gigs of ram? more than used to, sure, but not a majority. you trying to tell me that everyone who has less than 4 gigs is moping along, wondering why theyre paying for high speed net when the 1 to 2 gigs they had before was doing just fine?
