SpaceGhost
Pretty Sad that 2000 soldiers rank third in the Iraq war. And now they have to go home.

The Georgians will give Russia a run for their money, we worked with Georgian EOD in OIF 1. We needed their expertise on Russian small mines/munitions. Looks like this could be a nasty fight. Scotty2Hotty
Wouldn't suprise me to see the "former" Soviet Union states flare up in conflict. *cough they will cough* Department of Defense is second guessing the pull out of Germany. Guest 614Streets
Regional conflict like this has started WWI and WWII. If neither side backs down and I know russia won't , this could get real ugly for both sides. Hope it ends very soon.

I think these conflicts will pop up sporadically, seeings how they have a virtual stockpile of Soviet goodness in their backyard. The T-54/55, T-62, T-72, BMP's, BRDM's etc.. (armor) all can basically run with very little mantinance done on them. Most of the equipment was built by peasants, for peasants, so it'll work. I deffinately don't see Russia backing down, but I don't think Georgia will either. Could get a little drawn out, but not as bad as Chechnya. Conesmasher
I wonder if this will be the "archduke ferdinand" moment.
Scotty2Hotty
I wonder if this will be the "archduke ferdinand" moment. Good point! I would doubt it, I would see it as more the "small" conflict that won't get too much world wide attention. Much like Irael/Palestinians, or Lebanon and its' troubles.
