cmoosego Posted January 7, 2009 Report Share Posted January 7, 2009 Well the Blue jackets drop another one to the mighty Detroit Red Wings, in a game (perhaps the most impressive I've seen outta the Jackets) that in the first 2 periods looked pretty dead even... Rick Nash goes down in the first, and it's all down hill in the third period for Mason. (whom I think is the better goalie). Ty Conklin gets his shut out win. Now don't feel too bad Jackets fans, they did hold the Wings to 3 goals and those didn't happen till late in the third period, hold your heads up... be proud... and prepare for the 27th, you face the Wings on home Ice.... And I'll be there in the crowd to help cheer them on! Now beat the Wild this weekend to get your points towards a playoff bid... so I can get tickets this year and not "have" to go all the way to Detroit to see a playoff game. OK? GO WINGS!!!!! I miss it too. Now I'm not coordinated enough to play anything outside goalie... yeah I'll look into getting tickets for the feb. game do you have a seating preference? cmoosego Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 28, 2009 Ok follow up for all your "fair weather" fans, the blue jackets made it to the playoffs, sorry they drew the Red Wings in the first round, the WE moved on the the Mighty ducks of Anahiem, great round had me worried on a few of those... Then on the Blackhawks, another good series, but I believe the Hawks were outmatched, and went down in 5..... Now on to the rematch, that as evidenced in this thread noone thought could happen.... WINGS VS. PENGUINS!!!! And if most of you can recall at the outset of the 3rd round I called that this would be the result.... It's gonna be a hard fought battle again this year, but I believe that My wings will emerge victorious and will become the 12 time stanley cup champs!! games 1 and 2 will be on nbc saturday and sunday..... anyone wanna get together with me and watch??? I'll cook burgers and brats on the grill, and have ice cold beers ready ( I'll need help drinking them, most of my friends know why) SO who's in????
