nuinqua
I'm just curious about starting in the automotive repair indurstry. When you're 18 or just getting out of hight school, do you think it's better to start in a dealership or independent? I kinda feel like when you first start being a tech, you will not get paid much either way you go. But, if you're already 30 and got a family independent is the way to go, because you already got established guys at the dealership getting all the good work at flatrate. Kevin R.
As a customer, I do not give a flying fuck if you are 10 years old or 45. If you know your shit you know your shit. The automotive repair industry to me is based off of word-of-mouth, honesty, and the job that gets done. I don't give a fuck about your 25 ASE certs or fancy toolbox if you are an unhonest bastard. Now, that is me. The soccer mom driving the broke ass minivan wants the best price.
