El Karacho1647545492
Just got up there this past weekend to hang out with my mom at my parents' new house (hint: now's the time to buy!) in Peru, VT. Bout 4 miles from Bromley, 20 min from Stratton. I know there's at least one member that used to call the area home, who else goes to the Stratton/Bromley/Okemo are during the winter to ski/board? In case this thread is disappointing in content and sparse in replies, I present you with incontrovertible content: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t159/swashbux/sexy_snowboard_abfahrt_408.jpg http://www.snownation.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/img67.jpg
944s2
Feeling the Love for JAY PEAK!!! Can't wait Feb 09 every year 5+ years running, Okemo is Great too, but you can't beat the cheap student rates at Jay with the massive snow falls, trees, and no wait lifts! JP is fuckin great, I've only been there once when it was raining at Stowe. You're right about the prices though, best student rates in VT (that I've seen). However, early Christmas present from the 'rents = season pass to Bromley = unbeatable...I'll be on the slopes straight from 12/26 until 1/13. So fucking great. El Karacho1647545492
some amazing pics right there. thing I love about Bromley is it faces south, therefore almost always bathed in sunlight. makes for crunchy snow, but I spend most of my time standing up and going fast so it works well for me. some of my sister's better photos from the mtn: http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v192/138/73/1433760082/n1433760082_30097616_7692.jpg http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v192/138/73/1433760082/n1433760082_30097589_484.jpg mom and sis with Stratton in the background http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v192/138/73/1433760082/n1433760082_30097595_2157.jpg
944s2
I forget if we have been to Bromley or Stratton our fist and 2nd year we did the tours Okemo, Stowe, Smuggs (is fun), Sugarbush (last year 1st time although we did stay there 3 years ago since our friend has a nice place there and lets us stay for free when it usually rents for like 5k a week :^) Bolton Valley, and of course Jay.... NEVER Killington though lol, too touristy!! Although I hear the nightlife is great.

Mt Snow has stated they're trying to open for Thanksgiving. Shit's crazy if they can even get one trail. This winter will be awesome though.
