Ryan218 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 on my rear axle. i grabbed an old lug now thinking that i stripped taking off the old rear end. and put it on the new. now its stuck on there..gets to end of stud. but wont back off..just spins. know ive fucked the threads up. tips on how to get it off? Haven't had this happen before, but I think that is the route I would take. Then I'm not 100% sure what I would do, depends on what tools are available to you after that. Don't know how easy it would be to turn the nut while prying on it.... this also works well if you can get in behind the wheel to pry on something with enough force. or get a dill and drill it out so its weak then just break it. that could take awile if he has junk bits. Oxy acetylene the lug nut till its red and then impact it off with pressure behind the wheel from a large crow bar.
