Main3s
Are there any web sites where you can download service manuals for cars and trucks? I’m going to be helping a friend replace the brakes on his 98 Jeep wrangler and I’m very anal about being prepared. Having never worked on a Jeep I wanted to look at the manual first but I don't want to buy one. Thanks!
Mitch
Here's a good write up on the front brakes. The second is a link to overall maintenance from the same site. I have a haynes manual if you want to borrow it. Replacing the fronts is pretty straightforward and the rears are standard drums. You are welcome to PM me with any questions. http://www.stu-offroad.com/suspension/frontbrake/frontbrakes-1.htm http://www.stu-offroad.com/misc/maint.htm I didn't download it, but this link is supposed to have the FSM for a 2K4 TJ. Should be very similar if not same. http://servicemanual.blogspot.com/2007/12/2004-tj-jeep-wrangler-repair-manual.html
Main3s
WOW, Thanks! I'll look this over. I've done plenty of breaks before, but I'll be at his house and he doesn't have tools so I want to make sure I'm covered. Thanks again.
