Scotty2Hotty
Sig sucks, go M&P 15. I hate the grip angle and the overall feel of the Sig personally. (Not sig as a company, but it feels like an AK/AR bastard. The selector switch is too far away.)
cinergi
Sig will be worth more, but your standard AR is going to be easier to work with. Pistons are nice, but I've sent more 556's back lately than I have even DPMS or Stag AR's.

Scotty2Hotty
i will take that over either I would hope so. I'd take a look at both, but IMO the Sig handle feels just like the M249 SAW grip. Meaning really bulky for no reason, and like I said the selector switch is a not close enough to the thumb as I like.

cinergi
You forgot Daddy? http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/images/middlegun-detail.gif I love mine, but most people won't do 308 these days.
Turbo Teg
The AR-15 platform has many more options and configs available for it. Long term parts availablity for it are going to much better and cheaper, as there are many more out there. The big deal with the sig is that it uses a gas piston instead of direct gas impingement. It's great at keeping the weapon cleaner and cooler, but I have never had any problems out of my Bushmaster, and I have put about 20k rounds through it. I don't think it's worth the extra coin unless you just want one. I'm very happy with the AR series of weapons, but if I ever have the money and a deal comes my way, I may pick one up just because I want one.
