My beater truck

I'll be selling my S10 soon (hopefully) and buying another Camaro, so I'll need something to drive in the winter and I've been wanting something to beat on and go offroading with. So, I'm buying this from my brother...

'77 K5 Blazer, 400 SBC w/ machined '71 LT-1 heads, stock cam, Edelbrock 650 carb, headers, glasspacks, 3" body lift (ugly I know) 4" suspension lift, rebuilt turbo350 trans and 203tc, D44/12 bolt w/ 3.08's, and shitty tires lol.

Still needs the starter, radiator, hoses, fuel lines, alternator, battery and a couple other things installed. I'm looking for a set of 35's for cheap that I can put on it. Interior needs cleaned up a little. I have gray bucket seats from an S10 Blazer that are going in.

it doesn't look like much, but it'll be fun

I hear the body lift is a pain in the ass to remove, otherwise it'd already be gone. And the seats are cool in an ugly retro kinda way, but even if I wanted to keep them they are all shitty and ripped up.

I had these in my old S10 and I like them better...

I asked my brother about the heads, he says he drilled them for steam holes or something along those lines, I don't remember.

Bought a Pioneer head unit from Sean (TbirdSC91), and looking to buy a used set of 6x9 speakers for cheap.

I also need tires, the guy on craigslist sold the 35's before I could get them. I need 33's or bigger for < $200, let me know if you are selling a set or know of some for sale!

nice truck steve....i was really looking for an old K5 or something for myself. but im no brand loyalist and just ended up getting a 90' bronco/351w with 3" lift and 33's.

that thing definitely looks like a nice 4x4 project though!

Looks like a nice project. I have had a 90 K5 and a 86 K5 Jimmy (or K15 - whatever they called the GMC version). Awesome runners. One thing I will caution you of though, stay on top of the rust....once it starts its almost impossible to stop without replacing the panels. Especially watch the floor pans on these from under. My 90 K5 you could stick your feet out the bottom and keep pushing if the engine died! :D

Interior needs cleaned up a little.

 A little huh.. I'm pretty sure if you looked close enough you could find all your missing parts in the cab. Looks like fun though, just in time for spring! ;)
