Not getting an 02m just because it weighs more does not make it better. 02j for life True you won't make out selling used crap, however if you plan on keeping your car forever like you said, just do it right once and you wont spend money on 7 transmissions. vwjeff Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 my o2m swap was 1600 bucks, these days you can get full swaps for less. it was worth every dollar, i never broke a trans, and the o2m swap includes stronger axles. Plus i sold all my o2j crap for over 500 to offset the cost. not to mention the o2m shifts waaaay nicer than the o2j. the o2j will always be shit, even with gears they still blow up.
