Well,

I'm giving up. I have been building this car for many years and i cannot keep the maintnence up on it.

Current, Cylinder Number 1 is at 1/4 the compression that it should be. The motor is fro ma fresh fresh fresh rebuild and i do not have the money to have the shop (that it's at because it didnt run when it was reassembled) go in and fix the problem.

They diagnosed it as having inncorrect sized rings or a bad layer in the head gasket (cometic multi layer). I don't have enough disposable money to pay for the hours of labor.

A history about the motor.

It was built/finished about a year and a half ago but the car just sat in the shop because of a lack of funding. It was originally torn down, machined, cleaned, and rebuilt will ALMOST ALL new parts inlcuding all the aftermarket things.

The car has been sitting in a shop for 1.5 years being finished... and then i find out that i've got a whole other problem... So im done!

Like i said in other threads.. i have the kouki front end conversion, a good deal of suspension, and a very powerful power plant. The best part of all is that the frame is straight, never wrecked, no rust. The front windshield is cracked though.

The car does not run. It has been started, but ran rough due to the compression issues in cylinder 1.

The wheels are sold and gone. So is the steering wheel; please refer to the list up top for all parts included.

The car is currently about 1.5 hours north of Columbus. I will make arrangements to have the car end up where you need it.

there are about 50 Pics of the build process in this thread...

BUMP, Considerign all offers... the worst part is , i think i know the exact problem.

A guy on another forum wrote this.

bob, did they machine the block and head? did they maching the front upper and lower covers at the same time while attached to the block or head? if not thats why you have loss of compression on #1. They might have also put the rings in wrong, with all the gaps lined up wrong, or broke a ring putting them in.

i believe that could be the problem.
