nurkvinny
I was talking about how I had to mount my Ram tires to the guys at work, and they thought I was kidding. Who hasn't had the pleasure of doing this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M0GNLvPmAg&feature=related

Rally Pat
They did it to a tire they had to change on one of the Hilux's during the Top Gear Polar Special. That was the first time I had seen it done, then this video.
Mr. Jones
People have been doing this since the beginning of time. It is also a great way of having shrapnel meet your face.

BlackC50
what are they srpaying on it like starter fluid or something?
nurkvinny
Starting fluid, ether, butane... all work.
Skinner
can see the vid but I am guessing your seating the tire by lighting starter fluid.
FourString
I've done that a few times on the trail. Works good.
Gergwheel1647545492
i have done/seen it twice, 1 time it worked flawless. other time the tire caught fire a little and smelled horrid
Farkas
How do you think they stretch crazy small tires on wide wheels?
Tractor
Do it almost every time we go trail riding. Its very effective as the video shows. Takes a lot of starter fluid for it to work on tires bigger than 35". At home I think I would have just held the tire upright and used the air hose because I have seen it blow the tire completely over the bead and have seen it burn a tire up before too. appn88
my dad did something sort of like this it works, he fitted a propane bottle with a big air valve and put a piece of piping on it and flattened the end of it, he fills it with compressed air and then he puts it next to the tire and opens the valve, works well did it on my old cutlass tire

I won't name the tire shop because for whatever reason, they are not legal, or are anti-OSHA, or whatever. But, it was hands-down the easiest method of mounting a difficult tire I had even done. starkmaster03
I can't see the video at work but I know what you guys are talking about and I have done it quite a few times myself. Sometimes it works flawless and other times it has taken a number of tries or failed becauase we didn't have enough fluid in the shop.
