I wasn't particularly asking if OC was Legal in Ohio, I know it is. I just don't have a copy of Ohio law readily available since I live in Utah now, so I was unsure if Ohio had a specific definition of brandishing; Utah doesn't. In this state, brandishing doesn't exist. (Utah is OC friendly as well and I do that 90% of the time here :) )

I will keep it as simple as possible. If you lock the gun, good for you. Is it necessary? Not really, but if you were to get pulled over and the officer saw that he would understand the prudence. I cannot stress enough that you cannot have your magazines loaded when you transport the firearm without a CHL. If you do in this state, you are carrying a loaded firearm. I have seen people get fried at the stake for this even though it is not clearly stated. Franklin County prosecutors are not gun friendly. If you want to be super careful, you take the gun apart, lock the frame and then keep the ammo in a separate part of the vehicle. The one thing you MUST understand is the laws in this state are truly fuct up and nothing seems to be right. Edited by cinergi
