Guest fist302 Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 Radiator cap is new and i also happen to have a new coolant temp sensor so its not the cap and the gauge is reasonably accurate. I just about got it fixed, i put clamps on the hoses i used to bypass the heater core and that seemed to help alot. For some reason it still overheats about 5 mins after starting it the temp gauage will suddenly shoot damn near to the top but then it pretty soon after goes to the half way point and seems to be steady from there on.
