hot_wire
Any clues what this is? The pic is from the first episode of Breaking Bad. The revolver was all metallic/chrome looking (except for the black grip), had an excessively long barrel, and had very clean and smooth lines. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/hot_wire/revolver.jpg Anybody know what type? ohmr95b
The photo is kind of bad, but it could be a 6 or 8in Colt Python, King Cobra, or Anaconda in stainless or nickel. It looks to have the famous Colt ridge along the top of the barrel.
hot_wire
Understood about the picture. It was the best I could do with a screencapture. Thanks!
Benner
If you go to Hulu.com you can watch it in decently high quality or even 480p. Do you know about how far into the episode they show it?
Scotty2Hotty
S&W model 17? http://www.gunblast.com/images/Cumpston_K22s/model17one.jpg Of course in nickel finish.
hot_wire
I decided that it was definitely a S&W. I really don't think that, even with the HD version, I could figure out which model. The gun was large, and looked quite a bit like the massive S&W 500. This was just a curiosity for me, and I found out what I wanted to. If I ever own a gun, it will be an oversized nickel revolver - like that model 17 or 500 (not that I could handle it).
RedRocket1647545505
cylinder doesn't look long enough to be a
RedRocket1647545505
IMFDB says that a Ruger SP101 is in the show at some point, though they don't specify where. I know nothing of Ruger revolvers so I can't comment one way or the other. http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Breaking_Bad
oh8sti
that doesnt look like a "massive" gun....looks like a 38 with a 8 inch barrel. When i think big gun i think of a .44mag Super blackhawk with a 10.5 inch barrel. Dirty Harry style

It does look like a Smith, but don't think it's a 17.
