Car audio problem

Recommended Posts

Facts:

1. Head unit has full power and works fine.

2. Speakers seem to work because I hear them receive power and also hear them increase when I turn volume up.

Problem:

Everything seems to work, yet I get no sound through the speakers. None of the speakers. Everything on the head unit is wired correctly and all of the settings are fine(volume, fade, balance, etc.).

Halp.

power ic is on?

Connecting to an External Amplifier

POWER IC ON (Initial setting) / POWER IC OFF

When an external amplifier is connected, sound quality can be

improved by stopping the power supply of the built-in amplifier.

POWER IC OFF : Use this mode when the front and rear preamplifier

of the unit are used to drive an external amplifier

connected to the speakers. In this setting, the head unit’s

internal amplifier has no output to drive speakers.

POWER IC ON : The speakers are driven by the built-in amplifier

Turning Mute Mode On/Off

MUTE ON (Initial setting) / MUTE OFF

If a device having the interrupt feature is connected, audio will be

automatically muted whenever the interrupt signal is received from

the device.

Took the door panels off and the driver side speaker was sitting on a flimsy mdf-bracket that broke. It caused it to short and somehow fried my head unit. A new bracket and head unit later and all is well again.

I can clearly see the lock on the thread title...Im not blind. I was simply offering a cheaper alternative to replacing a whole headunit.

why, when he has the new head unit, and its fixxed already?

just because its fixed, it doesn't have to be closed
