Guest Removed
sonata is just a redressed kia optima. the fully loaded models are real nice with leather seating, heated seats, and alot more. power wise, the 4 cylinder model will beat the v-6 out of the hole, but top end is where the v-6 walks away. highway passing is not a issue, and the auto stick is rather helpfull when playing around on the highway. the suspension , altho very basic, is well put together. they are known to eat sway bar end links, but all around, a very well built car. Buck531
My neighbor came by the other day and said that his 2002 Kia has a completely rusted frame rail and it can't even be put on the lift or jack it up since he whacked a pot hole and needs to do some work to it. It only has 90k on it and Kia won't even warranty it or fix it. At least that's what the dealer said. He's going to write a letter going up the chain. But that's a Kia and not a Hyundai. still. it sucks.

Kia and hyundia are the same company now. hyundia took them over in 99 or so. which model..he needs to call kia america. writing letters dont work. and if he is second owner, then he may not have a leg to stand on.
