I have a 8gb memory card. there isnt any music on it, not really any pictures, i delete all old txts. i dont have a lot of apps. humm..... idk. I had no issues doing mine that way and never said anything about insufficient memory. Hope you get your phone working, the update does fix a lot of the issues.
