Sounds pretty sweet, you still gotta spill the beans on what happened to the other motor??:confused::confused:

head gaskets.

so what the hell did you do to the old motor?

did you and grandma's boy fuck it it? i am almost sure he is involved somehow

i was driving down walker road. the temp gauge pegged i went to reach for the key to shut off and motor died.. i had done an oil chainge on it sunday. it blew wed. there was only 2 quarts of oil in the pan. and it looked like a milkshake. headgakets blew. and only 60psi in #5.

gonna wait to pull the heads till there ready to go off to the machine shop. but the motor was damn clean on the inside. no build up. just oil. onl problem is one intake bolt snapped in the head. and of course it was the last one. we tried heating it up and i cant get it out. so im just going to have the machine shop deal with it becasue i dont want to mess the head up.

well now its at the point where its the waiting game. every machine shop ive called says the soonest they can get to it is 2 weeks. and i dont want to wait to weeks to just have the damn thing hot tanked. i know it dont take that long! so if anyone knows of one that can get it hot tanked alot quicker pass the info to me lol.

still has the crank in it. havent pulled it out yet becasue i dont feel like laying it on the garage floor.

i had 2 of my friends die, and ive been out of town. been a little to pre occupied and getting it to a machine shop took a back seat to them.

and im picky on who i let work on my stuff, i try and do as much of my own crap as i can.

give me a price and tell me when i can bring it to you then, need the block hot tanked, honed, and a broken intake bolt extracted from the head.

spent over 150 in gas alone this week so im stapped till pay day. ( the 11th ) but can bring it to you anytime just cant come to pick it up and pay you till then, lol.

hmm kids these days

M&M I think out in Marysville/Delaware area would be a good place to start. Might take em a second, but pretty good from what I hear. Not to mention I think Fowler is still around doing machine work.

ill check into it if gear head cant get it done, which im sure he can.

when you pull the crank don't lay it right on the floor either stand it up on end or put it on a piece of wood and hose down the journals with oil or put grease on them to keep it from rusting

and did that motor come with all the brackets and stuff on the front?

I could use them pretty bad if it did hit me up

love that car....and f cam ftw

thanks. ill love it even more after the new motors in it and it has the man peddle. ;)

picked up gaskets, bearings, oil pump.

Rob has the block gonna see about stopping by there tomm and getting it. well today actually. depends what all he has going on. need to find a new oil pan. mine has a decent dent in it and id like a new one, was thinking about the moroso drag pan unless anyone has any suggestions for a different pan. will be street / strip car. more so street lol. so no need for a road race pan or anything really fancy.

also need to give steeda a call to find out what springs they recommend for the cam.
