Dave1647545494
8mm mauser the top of the action is stamped FN overlapping with a circle around it kind of like this http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i284/meagmerriman/675A0061.jpg the stamp is worn and my camera won't take good pic it also says Fabrique in Belgium, Herstal it has no other dates or armory marks I want to rebuild it becuase its getting sloppy and there are about 100 variants of this rifle and most of the parts won't interchange. I have an M48 model of the same rifle and other than being chambered for the same round and the basic looks its totaly different any help appreciated I looked all day online and couldn't find the same stamp
copperhead
http://www.surplusrifle.com/yugom48/index.asp That's the M48 that you got from me. I've never seen any information anywhere about an FN built Mauser.
verse
FN Hestal is a gun manufacturing company. I have one of their FNP9 pistols. http://www.fn-browning.com/fn.htm From what I read it seems like FN isn't the actual company that made it, just the destination for the weapon when it was produced. Dave1647545494
I found some more info and also emailed FN for more information its called an M1924 short rifle and the parts are easy to find. it was made by FN under contract for several countries and could also be mail ordered direct from FN for personal use
