BloodRed
I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT 5-door with the factory sunroof that I am having a bit of an issue with. The other day I went to put the sunroof into the up position and I heard a cracking/popping sound. Everything looked ok at first, and it appeared the sunroof went up. I then opened the sunroof and it didn't seem like it had any problems or made any strange sounds so I headed home from work. When I got home, I closed the sunroof, again, no strange sounds or any problems. When I got out I noticed on the passenger side the sunroof didn't match up with the rest of the body of the car. It is about 1/4-1/2" lower than the roof of the car. I tried putting the sunroof back into the "up" position and the drivers side went up fine, but the passenger side did not. So I am guessing either passenger side "lifter" (not sure on the correct name)is broke. Anyone experience this or have had a similar problem with a sunroof? Any help or pointers on this would be great!
Rotarded1647545491
Your guide or locator is fucked on that side. You will need to have it replaced. I hope Hyundai makes a kit and you don't have to replace the whole assembly. Sorry!
BloodRed
F it. I think I am just going to pull the fuse and then silicon the thing. Not worth it on a DD that I just paid off.
