Reed44
we just put in a rebuilt trans with new clutch and flywheel in my buddys 94 cobra. he has a jegs clutch cable kit with quadrant. just to get the clutch to work we have to put a vast amount of spacers on the clutch cable on the fork to get it to work. but its still not perfect. anyone have any troubles with these? had the same problem with stock cable and fire wall adjuster. the fork only goes in one way right? 93fox
The fork should only go in one way. Ive had the best luck with an adjustable cable or stock cable and stock quadrant.
Reed44
any ideas why it would be doing this?
98GrdPoundr
the quadrant should have 3 postions to hook to i had to use the middle one, you might double check that and see which one works best for his setup.
Reed44
I thinks theres only one pistion but I will double check
Guest Removed
you need a double hook quad, and a stock replacement cable. the adjustable cable's stretch. cheap quads like the jegs one, only have 1 hook. geta steeda one from jegs, it has 2 hook's.. are you not using the fire wall adjuster? you should only have to adjust it from that! Dave1647545494
+1 for a double or triple hook quad use a ford cable and the firewall adjuster

Guest Removed
i dont think he is using a firewall adjuster...
Reed44
the firewall adjuster won't work with the jegs cable. its to big. with a duble hook quad does that just mean for positions for the quad?
98GrdPoundr
what do you mean too big ? i use the jegs cable with my steeda firewall adjuster ... the end of the cable that goes through the adjuster has 4 ? small tabs on it that have to be cut off if your using a firewall adjuster
Dave1647545494
if you don't have the firewall adjuster on it its never going to work right
Reed44
im gonna have to take another look at it then to see if it fits.

Reed44
we got the firewall adjuster on after taking off the tabs. it works now but the adjuster is almost all the way out. with the double hook quadrant does that mean there is two positions two adjust it? Guest Removed
no, the double hook is for the stock cable..it will use the hook closer to the firewall.. with that adjustable cable, turn the fire wall adjuster in, most of the way..adjust the cable, then play with the firewall adjuster. do you have the quad on the pin on the pedal correctly? or just drive it over here.
