Must just be limited to CR. ok so if i ruffle some feathers im now a black sheep. ive been talking about this shit all summer long, dont think that because im on rc now that im hoping on there band wagon. the only reason i got on there is because i knew only a few people off this site would participate in the fun, the rest of you would automatically say no. even after all the fun we had in akron and how many people said , oh i wish i woulda went to that, it looked like fun. yes the traveling meets are fun, because its not sitting in a dark parking lot being ashamed of what we love doing. the west side guys are out every dam weekend, cops hawk that place like crazy, but yet you hear about races over there all the time. why is it this site has become so stuck up? It was a building on the race stretch of Charter, and I recall years ago parking in this same parking lot to watch the end of the race. Those years are gone, and some people need to come to the realization it won't change (at least around here). This shit goes on in other cities because they don't have the fucking lawmakers and media hounding to pass laws crushing people's cars, hefty fines, etc. Is it fair to us? No. But we have to deal with it and magically can't make people undo their mistakes or the public annoy us with their bloodthirsty demands. It sucks. That's reality. ok so everytime somthing gets a little tough we should buckle and give up correct? is that what your saying? cause im almost positive racing on the street was never legal, you guys just found a way around it. you did it smarter. why does it have to be so much different now? obviously its still going on, people have just found a better way to do it. and as for the kitchen goes, if bashing and shit talking wasnt so much fun before the sandy vagina wars, it wouldnt have been one of your most popular areas on this board. I am going to try and say this as nicely as possible... Alot of people don't want to start over. Ignoring the obvious life ending stupidity of it all, most of us have gotten older, and have a family, a career, or more to worry about. 99.9% of people have "street raced" by definition many times in their lives. It is just NOT WORTH IT. We have/had the same thing in cincy for YEARS.... hell, we had the news offering lots of $$ to different people at meets if htey could give the story on street racing (one kid took it, it was all over hte news, which is a complete other story) We handled it differently on local forums to keep from getting unwanted attention (secret forums, secret sites, not posting the race locations, or when/where they would be). NOt saying CR didnt take those precautions, but I def saw some sloppy things. AFter the drama, and losses that CR has had in the last 2yrs with stracing, I imagine 'publicly' removing it from the site is to be expect, and is justified, then to take it a step further and make it a "dont make fun of people" zone is taking it to a whole new level, but again, i can see where the decision made, but dont be fooled to think it wont turn A LOT of people away.
