FS My 1999 Z28 Vert (testing waters)

I'm just testing the waters here. I want a C5 vette so bad I can taste it, so I'd like to see what I can get for my Z28 convertible.

General information: It's dark blue, tan top, SS 17" wheels with 275s all the way around. Tan leather interior, power everything, keyless entry, cd player, factory alarm, factory tinted windows, front and rear defrost.

I bought the car when it had 65k on it, and now it's in the upper 80k range. I religiously change the oil every 3k with Mobile 1 fully synthetic motor oil and a Mobile 1 oil filter.

Things I've done since purchasing it:

*Had tranny rebuilt by the owner of Dayton 5.0 (Mike?). Also replaced gears 2,3,and 4.

*All new hydraulics (new slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder)

Needless to say, the car shifts flawlessly.

Parts list:

*Ported Stock Throttle Body

*Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch

*B&M Ripper Shifter

*ASP Underdrive Pulley Kit

*K&N Air Filter

*SLP Lid

*LS6 Intake Manifold

*Pacesetter Long Tube Headers

*Pacesetter Off Road Y-Pipe

*Magnaflow Bullet Style muffler

*Custom Tune by Tracy Scott

*160 Degree T-stat

*Raptor Shift Light

*Subframe connectors

*6 point roll cage

*G5X3 Camshaft

*Hardened Pushrods

*Patriot Gold Extreme Spring Kit

Car dyno'd 404rwhp all motor. (before the pulley)

Everything was professionally installed and tuned. When the cam was installed, I did 3 consecutive oil changes at different intervals to (immediately from driving home, 100 miles after, 200 miles after the last one). The car runs absolutely perfect and pulls strong. The best time I managed at kilkare was 12.06@116.3 with a 1.83 60 foot (before the pulley). Car still has a factory 10 bolt with 3.42 gear. I will entertain any reasonable offers. PM me for a faster response.

Weight Reduction Items:

*A/C removed, however I have all of the components to reinstall it. (who needs a/c in a vert)

*EGR removed

*Spare tire and jack removed (still have both)

*Rear seats removed (still have them, very easy to reinstall)

*No catalytic converters

$10,500 OBO. Will entertain any reasonable offers!

Thank you. Now, how much money you want to throw in towards my Z06?

:)

haha I wish man I wish. If I had the $$ I would pick it up. That's exactly what I'm looking for a black C5Z...cept I can't afford the extra $ right now. I figure I can get a high miles C5 for 15k-17k..

Mine can be had for high 18's or there abouts. :)

There is an 01 C5Z on LS1Tech for $17k, but has a bad 3rd gear.

Hmm, well let me get rid of my Z28 first and if I can get financing for an extra couple thou I can't see why not :)

dude check ls1... im tellin ya you can find them with less miles and mods or stock for 14k. they are typically 99-01's or something though and just regular c5's. good luck though buddy. i will miss the canoe if you sell her. she has been a good car and you have certainly put the hurtin on anything you have raced and shocked many many people with it.:p

also you have a B&M Ripper shifter... not a pro 5.0. i was wrong when you first got the car i thought you had a pro 5.0 but its a ripper. i noticed the last time we worked on it.

i can also vouch that he did change the oil properly after the cam install. also you do have the patriot Gold extreme spring kit with titanium locks and retainers. and you have comp hi tech chromly pushrods(stock length)

Yes yes she will be missed...but never forgotten haha. I can't tell everyone how fun it is to wax "badass" cars in a convertible and leave them standing with their mouths wide open lol. I will look for a cheap C5 Brent, just gotta sell the blue canoe first :)
