BoostedAce
Im having trouble figuring out why my boost wont turn down from 25psi , I have a manual boost controller but its cranked all the way down. I went from a T-25 to a 14b, I believe its my wastegate. Any help?
BIGGU
are all the vacuum lines plugged into the waste gate? what happens when you connect the turbo inlet directly to the waste gate?
TurboRust
i dont see the problem here...tune it for 25 psi
Guest Removed
sounds like the wastegate is not opening . vacuum line off
boosted98gst
This is a very common issues with a cheap ass manual boost controler from ebay or somthing like that. Take the control off and bypass to run wastegate pressure. Make sure both lines are hooked up correct.

Comebackkid
What brand boost controller do you have? If it's ebay they are really touchie or Go and get a stuffer spring in it and it will work alot better.Or you just got the BC backwards
spooling 1g
Look also to see if your vaccum line to your wastegate isnt being kinked from your intake laying on it ,i've seen this many times.
FourString
25 PSI? That's about half of what it should be set at.

boosted98gst
id check into putting it in backwards, ive seen this happen more then a kinked line. all it takes is one time overboosted and you have headgasket issues.

Fubar231
id check into putting it in backwards x10 Also is it a home-made MBC? Ive seen tons of homemade MBC's with boost spike problems.

BoostedAce
The only line off the boost controller i took off was the wastegate line, and when i put the 14b on, i hooked it back up to the wastegate.

Where is your boost source coming from?If you went from a t25 to a 14b your boost source should have changed from the t25 housing to the 14b j-pipe.if you have a boost controller on it your vaccum line should go wastegate....b/c....j pipe. spooling 1g
thats interesting you say that. if you hook the boost controller up to the jpipe, then where goes on the nipple on the wastegate? On a stock setup with no boost controller your vac. line will go from the wastegate to the j pipe. With a boost controller it will follow the same path just with the boost controller in between the too so the line would go wastegate, boost controller,j pipe.
