She was born on August 21, 1975 in Mount Vernon, Ohio the daughter of Tom and Sue (Kemmer) Waddell. Erica was a 1993 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and worked as a police officer for the city of Alexandria and Whitehall. Erica was currently working for Martin Investigation of Columbus.Erica was an avid fan of softball and has been playing since the age of 7. She has competed for traveling teams, women’s teams and co-ed softball. She loved spending her Saturday and Sunday’s cheering for the Ohio State University Buckeyes or the Pittsburgh Steelers. Any free time Erica had, you could often find her riding her motorcycle. She was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon.Besides her parents she is survived by a son, Brett M. Davidson of Mount Vernon, a brother, Tommy (Jan) Waddell of Marengo, two sisters, Lisa (Mark) Peugh of Mount Vernon, Korinna (Darlene) Waddell of Mount Vernon and three nephews, Zane Smith, Jace Peugh and Jaxson Peugh.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Lisa Waddell-Hopper.Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday at 10 AM. Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond will be celebrant. They better, because the whole situation just isn't right. You shouldn't pass at 33 for sitting in your home. I hope they get closure and find out why.
