Big A Posted September 24, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Drinking in State parks is illegal. Read the rules of the campgrounds when you sign in. It is the first rule on the list. There are some pretty hefty fines and some parks actually have a drunk tank. Back to the original post, I am surpised no one has mentioned Mohician State Park area. The campgrounds off Wally Road are not in the state park and most allow drinking. Plus you can sites right on the river. Everyone talking about Ohio power makes me want to head out there again. I haven't been out there since I was a kid. And I have heard those old mine roads are some fun trails but some of them can be very tough. I called one place at mohican and she said if we want to have fun and stay up to call this other place so we are going to be camping at mohican reservation.
