Just got home a couple hours ago. It was pretty good. Ending was a lot less eventful than I'd hoped for. Worth $9 to see' date=' not worth $9 to have some whore kick my chair for 3 hours. I seriously contemplated shooting her in the chest. I even started planning an escape route...[/quote']

took my girl to see it last night....the trailer really highlights the best parts of the movie so if you remember most of the trailer then the only surprise is how the plot factors in to the action parts... I noticed also that when people in the movie are injured/killed the blood is very CG looking....but then i remembered the guy who directed 300 also directed Watchmen...the blood behaves almost the same way in both movies....

All in all movie was pretty good. If you have doubts then wait till it comes out on video if you really want to see it, i dont think you will have buyers remorse

YEa I screamed out in the middle of the last superman movie. lady had 3 kids all talking and giglling and texting. 20 minutes into the movie i got up and yelled "OMG Fing God are You fing kidding me, control your damn kids or get out" I received an applause from the audience followed by the party in question making a b line to the door.

this was the showcase on reading, thats now closed.

I'm saying it's as true to the novel as it could be' date=' save for the ending. It was only a little different. I will be buying it and I thought it was awesome. Then again... Pauly = comic book nerd.[/quote']

I know nothing about the comic, so none of this would make any sense to me. I just wanted to know if it's worth seeing or not, not if it's true to the comic.

If you haven't read the comic then most of the movie won't make sense. I mean, you won't get the jokes. It's still very entertaining but probably more so to someone in the know.

I've never read the novel, and think I pretty well grasped the story line. I consciously decided against reading it, as I've found over the years that movies based on complex/cult books like this are usually a disappointment if you read the book first.

That said....There's a LOT going on, so it's one of those you really need to pay attention to. They do spoonfeed you a little w/ flashbacks 40-50 years to explain the origins/history. MANY backstories.....A few I thought were unnecessary & overcomplicated the story. Like I heard a critic say tonight.....Think of it as taking place in a parallel universe/earth. Similar....but different. It's somewhat historically based.....but VERY twisted

INCREDIBLE special effects/CG! To me.....There are only 2 reasons I will pay to view in a theater anymore......Movie I can't wait to see, or special effects look so AWESOME that only the big screen can truly do them justice. This one was the latter

Overall......Good movie, but definitely NOT your traditional, feelgood, bubblegum superhero movie. These "heroes" are human & extremely flawed. VERY dark.....And the "R" rating 'aint just for language like I assumed! Not suitable for young kids

Just heard on the 11 o'clock news that it finished #1 this weekend with $55 million so far

Best line of the movie "You all got it wrong! I'm NOT stuck in here with you......YOU'RE stuck in here with ME!!! lol.gif

Anyone catch the "Hungover" preview beforehand.....The Mike Tyson part?!? Freakin' HILARIOUS!!!! "Hold on......This is my favorite part!! Craaaaacckkkk!!" roflmao.gif
