Draco-REX
Why don't these cars have long-travel front suspensions (off-road style) to absorb the impact of the nose coming back down? I ask because whenever I see a car launch with the wheels up, it always seems to come down hard and maybe a third of the time, the crossmember smacks the ground and/or the car veers to one side or the other. Wouldn't it be faster to have more control *as* the nose hits, rather than after it stabilizes?
Draco-REX
Crap, wrong forum... So here's a video of the impact control I'm talking about: Suspensions like these can take hits much harder than a drag racer can dish out. So a cheaper, lighter, simplified version seems like it'd be viable.
