Things to keep in mind:

-This watch was built in 1894

-This was a "mass produced" watch, not super-cheap but by no-means high-end.

Escapement interface. The edges of the gears appear sharper than those of an exacto-knife under the same magnification:

Bimetal Balannce wheel rim. Because the spring-rates vary with temerature, the balance wheel is made of a steel-brass sandwich, which causes it to shrink or expand with tempurature, countering the change in spring rate. The rim is only .010" thick, making the steel layer only about .003" thick.

Pretty much everything used by this watch was developed a few decades before it was made.
