1slow-z
is this radiator smaller than the stock one?
MrMeanGreen
Same size all around, except it's 1" thicker due to the bigger cores. It won't fit since my blower is in the way. It will fit N/A. nitrous, and some turbo cars along with blower cars running a Vortech.
Richard Cranium
Any idea what the difference is between the LS1 radiator and the LT1 rad?
MrMeanGreen
The LT1 radiator has slightly bigger cores since it was designed to cool an iron block. There's also an extra provision on the lower, passenger's side the LS1 doesn't use. It gets blocked off for the LS1. The SLP "Heavy Duty" radiator for the LS1 is a rebadged LT1 radiator with the provision removed.
Richard Cranium
Interesting. I thought this might have been an upgrade for my LT1 car, but it doesn't sound like it. Thanks anyhow.
