Picked this 04 up Sat the 14th in Waynesville, Mo...I travled from Union, Oh (8 hour drive) to make it happen. Guy bought the bike with a bad motor. He bought another 04 motor and put it in there...he then unded up droppin a valve and screwin up the head along with the #1 piston http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z52/h22sleeper/018.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z52/h22sleeper/019.jpg He took the motor out and apart and bought a new head for it and was plannin on just replacin the piston New Head http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z52/h22sleeper/026.jpg He stumbles upon a 04 motor with 4600 miles on it and decides to buy it. He put that motor in and it started right up. Say he was goin down the road at 55 mph and heard a slapping noise coming from the engine so he pulled off to the side and trailered it home. Took to motor out and apart thinkin it was the cam chain and didnt see anything wrong with it and didnt see any metal shaving so he put it back together and put it back into the bike and now it wont run. Says it turns over but doesnt start. Already found the problem, fixed it, head is good,valves are good, bottom is good, starts and runs....jusr waitin for misc OEM bolts to arrive that I ordered.... Intake cam was 180* outta wack.
