RyM3rC
2002 Ford Focus, someone wants me to do a charity fix on the thermostat housing which is pissing coolant. I looked around the internet and it looks pretty easy (at least easier than an Audi thermostat lol). Anything special to look out for? Looks like I may need the housing, maybe a gasket, and I'll be reusing the retainer and thermostat if they both look good. I haven't even seen the car yet. Thanks
TurboRust
its two pieces. one is the square box has the nipple on it to goto the overflow, and another hose to the heater. then the front part is held on by three screws, and goes to the upper radiator hose.. usually the box cracks or warps, its cheapest at the dealer. if you need the triangle upper radiator hose part, most parts stores keep them
RyM3rC
Thanks. I've been seeing them on eBay for $25-$50, but I'll check the dealer too.
