The second time I got overheating, I found that exact same hose worn through in the exact same place. The new hose got trimmed down so it couldn't rub. Also, I overheated the FUCK out of my WRX, it never shut off. Got me home though, but I caught it overheating early on (why isn't my heater working OH FUCK ITS IN THE RED I HAS NO ANTIFREEZE) so I was able to limp it home without any permanent damage.
