CbusBusa
I've got a 95 ranger with a 2 piece driveshaft. I've replaced the carrier bearing, u-joints, tailshaft bushing & seal, 4 new tires, and I still have a vibration. I'm tired of messing with it and I just wanna get it fixed so I can sell the truck. I have too many damn cars sitting around and no place to park them. Any recommendations on a good driveline shop to take it to?
CbusBusa
nobody's ever had driveline issues before?
Guest Removed
i can get you takin care of where was the shaft rebuilt at?
CbusBusa
i put a new carrier bearing in the original driveshaft and it didn't help. i picked up a different shaft at the salvage yard. the carrier bearing was in good shape so i just replaced all the u-joints in that shaft. vibration remains. nurkvinny
More info... At what speeds? Is it in proportion to engine speed or vehicle speed? Stick or auto? Since you didn't mention changing any suspension angles or anything crazy like that, an out of balance shaft or warped front rotors are the first two things that come to mind. Since it takes 10 seconds, you could also check that your engine and trans rubber mounts aren't junk.
CbusBusa
mounts look good. 5 speed. it's all stock. i changed to a different shaft and the vibration was still there. it's worse when during WOT and when you let off to decel.
