Thats interesting, most tanto's I've fooled around with have a much thicker blade close to the tip.

 

 

my buddy has this Bud Nealy as his boot knife, thing is fucking razor sharp.

If any of you want to drop a crap load of money on a knife there is a guy out of galena that makes super high end knives. Joe Perry (guitarist for aerosmith) carries and uses one of his knives which i think is pretty cool. DRD also uses ball bearings on most of their folded knives which is sweet.

I carry a Smith and Wesson OASIS knife. Opal in color, around a 3" blade. Always have it. Always. Except for Airport obviously.

Best advice ever is don't carry anything you don't want to lose. With the added security in lots of places these days your likely to end up having to throw it into a trash can at a security desk someday. I see it all the time.

If I have to throw it away I will just turn around and walk out, put it in the car and go back in. Even Kings Island lets you check knives at the will call window.
