nurkvinny
97 Chevy 2500 WT, 4x4 5.7 / 4L80E, 150,000 miles. Finally got a truck to do my driveway tonight. Truck stopped moving after about 15 minutes of plowing. Smelled trans fluid. After a trip to the store for fluid, I watched it gush out from around the trans inspection cover in about 5 seconds. One qt. added lets the truck move about 5' before it's on the ground in a puddle. Front pump or front seal?

Guest Removed
hope you didnt spin the pump bushing out of it plowing... just went thru that on a 99 after the last storm.pull the trans back and popped the converter out, and the bushing was froze to the converter and tore the seal all up.. nurkvinny
I had already given into the idea that the pump was toast. If I get out of it with a seal, I'll be uber happy.
