Mattsv8
Hey guys ive started to piece together the new setup. since ive been leary of my stock block 357 going as fast as it did and the amout of boost it was seeing. the goal was to swap blocks and go with a dart little m and add the 357 rotating assy into it. but i decided that motor is better suited to the camaro. so im building a whole new setup. motor is going to be a straight up 400" motor. Dart little m, 3.75 stroke crank, 6.000" rods, je extremeduty turbo piston for std deck 9:1 comp, AFR 235s, comp cams dry belt drive, new custom lunati roller. proably arround .700 lift and mid 270s dur. plus adding a new liquid to air intercooler system, way more boost, and a belt drive fuel pump. Im only doing a 8.50 cert so ill have to slow it down for some tracks. hopefully ill get to rip off one good one at super chevy. im going to try and get a muffler on it to get into true street heads up there. im also seeking sponsors that want there name on a very fast billboard! im taking it to as many heads up races as i can find and get into. also gona run some points races here local. and a few larger car shows. so far i may have TCI auto on board for a powerglide and converter. Fast may sponsor a fuel injection setup. but im going to stick with carb for as long as i can. I still have to buy Pistons, rings, vacume pump, belt drive pump, belt drive brackets and mandrel already on way from waterman racing. and heads, shaft rocker setup, and small misc stuff. I dont mind paying for all of it myself I always have but any help would be great. some pics to start the build. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4383.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4382.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4381.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4379.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4377.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4376.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4375.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4368.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4367.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4366.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4365.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4364.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/SSPX4360.jpg

Guest 614Streets
Very nice. I like the belt drive. I am already planning my next build using a very similar block / stroke set up as that , just with a whipple 305.

Mattsv8
im hoping to have it done by spring but im deff not pulling the 357 out untill its complete.then the 357 will go into the camaro. the main thing that will slow the project down is getting the 2400 up for the heads. pistons are 720 and rings are 150. im getting the belt drive fuel pump when it comes in hopefully next week. I have to get the plumbing ran from the turbo to cooler and cooler out to carb also. i cant weld alum with my tig so if anyone can shoot me a good price. im hoping to install it behind the dash so the dash will be out of the way. and i can drill the holes to go into the truck with the 3.5" tubes. Im hoping it will pick up et and mph with just the belt drive, Liquid intercooler, and actually having enough fuel. then i plan on upping the boost to 20-25 lbs. wich hopefully will net somewhere arround 1200s motor. im also adding in a wishbone locator, and drag race anti roll bar to try and get a little more 60ft. Mattsv8
got the belt drive bracket friday in the mail its prety cool looks like it will fit up just fine may need to make a small spacer and move the pulley out. i may just go with a mechanical waterpump, and add in a real moroso vacume pump and the new belt driven pump. i think i can make a mount for the alt to keep it where its at now. NTHER91
Cool. I like how your intercooler is smaller than every ricer or subie owner. Cuz you only need that much , can't want to see if g hit 8.0 or better good luck
Mattsv8
i could have went bigger but i want it to be behind the dash. some classes require it to be there and no more than 3" below the dash. plus out of site out of mind.
