wouldnt up the boost too much on a old tired motor right away anyways, this things just awesome.

bah.

i've had multiple cars with these motors in them including

88 turbo coupe stock block, head, and head gasket 30 psi through a t3/t4 .50 trim

87 all stock t3 super 60 at 25psi

fc stock head and block stock t3 19psi made 230whp and 309 tq

the only reason the fc blew was because i was toying with too much timing

that is the only one of these motors i've blown up

7m's a good motor when taken care of properly, X-Man from SM is making over 700rwhp on a stock block/head. Standalones do wonders...

i dont care what someone else is doing with one, your's is a fail boat and a half

and just because he made 700 wheel, dont mean he can drive it daily like that. does he drag race the piss out of it every wed and weekend? more then likely not

The list:

1988 Merkur XR4Ti

114xxx original miles

Turbo 2.3L

Black with black/grey "Raven black" interior (highly sought after in these cars)

5 speed RWD/IRS with new Zoom clutch and flywheel 10k ago

Sunroof (pops up and slides back)

New guibo (2 piece drive shaft rubber coupling)

New battery

E6 exhaust manifold

2 sets of stock wheels, summer and snow tires

It's mostly stock except for a Gillis manual boost controller, an LA3 computer and air meter swap (bigger Tbird meter, more aggressive timing/fuel curve ECU, has been repinned internally so the ECU can be swapped back to stock if needed), and a K+N cone filter. If you're familiar with these cars, you know they can be nasty fast for pretty cheap but they are a bit finicky. It has some minor issues that are typical for these cars that i won't bother to list but anyone with serous interest i'll go over it in detail with you. This car is NOT recommended for a daily driver...it's more of a performance toy type car but i have driven it to Columbus and back with no problems. It is NOT a drag car and has NOT been drag raced not by me or the previous owners. It has been well maintained considering its age.
