SRTstan Posted April 20, 2010 Report Share Posted April 20, 2010 well i have a 94 s-10 with the 4.3 vortec v6 and its a automatic. i was reading around online and found some info and some kits that help make the swap easier. i was looking at this for a summer project. im going back home to work maintenance at a factory and thought this would be a fun project. but what i was wondering if anyone on here has done this if so what is the difficulty level? also if you have done one do you have any advice and any idea on how much you spent on your swap. thanks for your input. SRTstan Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2010 ok heres a few questions that i have been considering 1) whats the best year v8 to use (pre 87?) 2) on a scale of 1-10 how difficult would your rate it 3) can i use the tranny, rearend thats in my truck? 4) roughly how much does it cost? i know it varys depending on how much you put into the motor.
