Buck531
It was almost as bad as my wife's car. Started off with almost the same process. Washed with Dawn. I started to claybar but the paint was pretty damn smooth and almost nothing was on the bar when I did the hood so I said forget it (I clayed it late last year). I was able to apply 3M rubbing junk to the whole car. Then did the hood and fender and gave up for today. Here's what I did so far. Fender before http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/fenderbefore2.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/fenderbefore1.jpg Then I found this 2001 Turtle wax with a date of 1998 or so on it. Again, zaino wasn't getting the swirl marks out so I tried this. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/fenderafter2.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/fenderafter2.jpg It's not perfect but hey.. $10 bottle of 13-15 year old polish. Here's the hood.. before. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/hoodsidebefore1.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/buck531/GS%20detailed/new%20detail/hoodsideafter1.jpg Not perfect but hey.. I'll take it. I get to finish it up tomorrow. Yay.
