I fixed the wire and closed the gap on the new plugs. Hopefully tomorrow I can test it out to see if it will stop breaking up under boost. We run into this issue with MSD wires all the time in the vettes with forced induction (ala higher EGT temps) . The plug boots are iffty most of the time because they make it difficult to seat the clip onto the plug, especially in crapped quarters Sams bemmer. I would look into grantellis 1500 degree wires, that have a life time guarantee, they also have resistances in the 25 ohm and under range, however they are not cheap of course.
