caseyctsv
Car had a torn axel boot so I purchased a new axel assembly. I have it all torn down but the axel will not come out of the transmission. I looked at the new part and there does not seem to be a bolt that is holding it in there but am I missing it somewhere? I have removed the one end from the wheel hub and it is totally free except for the end in the transmission.
TurboRust
you"ll need to use a large screwdriver or prybar to pry it out. there is a lock ring on the end of the axle holding it in. if you have no access to pry, use a screwdriver or punch from underneath the car and attempt to "punch " it out with a hammer.
