mmrmnhrm
It's been 10 years since I had to think about this, hoping someone can refresh my memory of how this works. Background: GF's sister transferred title to their 20 year old beater to her so she has something to trade in when going car shopping after grad school's done with. Title transfer went fine. Registration still in sister's name, expires end-of-month. Car is subject to E-Check (Cuyahoga county), and that's where my head goes fuzzy... I can't remember if the process should be: - Take car to E-Check station with freshly printed title in GF's name, the gas wand is stuffed up the tailpipe, and she gets a cert says the car passed - Takes title+cert to registrar's office, is issued 30-day tags to be used until plates arrive in the mail == or == - Go to registrar's office, is given 30-day tags and an E-check voucher - Has car tested, car passes - Takes passing cert back to registrar, is given new 30-days to use until plates arrive == or == Something totally different.
