Be bangin dem 8s yo

fo sho :)

I love the way this set up sounds, Hits nice and softly with the volume turned down, and pounds like no buddies business when turned up. I'm very impressed with how this turned out and the sound quality that it's capable of.

Josh, did an amazing job with helping me pick out subs, answering all my questions and building the box.

Thanks again Josh!

so its free air? cause lord knows its not sealed. then again its been about 10 years since i have been into car audio, so i might be out of the loop.

It's been that long for me to, but I think this falls into some order of bandpass box. Porting, usually refers to the small circular openings, where the large open areas are depending on which "order" of bandpass it is.

Of course again I'm talking out of my ass on very old information, most of which has changed by now.

4th order bandpass is a sealed side and ported side

6th order bandpass is a ported side and an additional ported side (whether it be reflex tuned or series tuned)

Thats crazy your only .7db down on music! (Normally lower)

Congrats on the score, not too bad for a daily system.

Have you had a chance to play those chopped songs yet?

Not yet, and my definition of music was bass mekaniks.

I've played a few chopped songs on the pc and my little 4in woofer was hating life. Will probably be loaded on the zune so i can have a little fun this weekend.

I would "think" with a competition box and your amp maxxed you could see 145-147.

yeah 200watts to each sub, and a remote for the HU so i can start playing. with the truck sealed. Was told i lost atleast 1db just from it already having started by the time i closed the truck door.

Oh, ok. Those are recorded really close to 0 dB, when playing acutal music it can be anywhere from -5dB to -15dB.

But yes listen to the Tom De Vos song, its a good demo song. First hit is weak then 2nd & 3rd note slam.

Yea the TL works on pressure, idk what the difference would be or if 1dB is accurate. Generally "Outlaw" classes meter higher (your allowed to have driver door open)

But im very impressed how this came out. Very musically and louder than i originally expected.
