P, R, N, D, etc....always goes forward sounds like linkage to me....is it a bad trans? linkage? how do i fix this....we need to get this thing moving, it runs perfectly fine going forward, shifts and everything, just has no reverse since its always going forward Edited August 28, 2010 by tbutera2112 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest tbutera2112 Posted August 28, 2010 Report Share Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) something i read says it could be the neutral safety switch?? does that sound plausible? i dont understand how that could be...but one guy said it worked for him im thinking the valve body could just be stuck in drive or something? maybe a new valve body will fix it? But i would agree there is probably a stuck valve(s) in the valve body, what i would suggest is it you do think it needs a valve body, get in there and take a look, if it's easy to get the valve out and get the valves out then thats what i would do. Make sure you used crocus cloth to lightly clean up the valves, re assemble making sure non of the valves moves side to side like they are lose in the bore. Then try it and it just might work again.
