Last week one of our customers brought us his 2009 GT500 for a few more upgrades. The customer has been working on the car in stages and has really taken a very good progressive approach to the car while sticking to a budget. He started out with just a simple cold air kit, bassani exhaust, and tune roughly 2 years ago. His next step was to lower the car and add some appearance items to it to customize it to his taste. 2 weeks ago he brought the car back in for a set of 3.73 gears and he brought the car back in this past week adding a 2.6 upper pulley and a C&R dual fan heat exchanger. His next step is going to be some sticky tires followed by a TVS supercharger upgrade.

You hear about factory "freak" cars but rarely do you actually see them. This car is definitely one of those freak cars. It has been on the dyno 3 times with minor changes and has consistently put down 15+ more horsepower than any of the other GT500's that we have done with similar mods. The initial tune with the cai and exhaust put down 497 hp to wheels! Adding the 2.6 pulley and heat exchanger was no different. The car put down 550 rwhp fully heat soaked. After a quick cool down we made a quick glory pull in the car and saw 561rwhp/544rwtq.

This is easily the most power I have seen out of one of these cars with these mods. It is also a good example of how well these cars respond to mods. If you ever get the chance to drive one of these cars, do it. They are an absolute blast!
