Rgreen
OK some people already know I'm doing a swap in a 03 350z,I was going to do a lsx 427 with twin 72 but fittment issues are a problem. Or should I go 2jz route, give me options pros cons thanks
Linn1647545492
How much power are you trying to make? If you are going forced induction on the lsx motor you do not need a big cube motor.
Jizzle Juice
If your having fitting issues the def go with the 2jz. Just build it right too hold tons of boost
Rgreen
I'm wanting 1000+ whp with a lsx but I don't like turbos would be bottom and back of motor that's what Hinson Supercars told me
Rgreen
I would like turbos top front area, its a tight fit upfront. If I go 2jz it would be like a 47-80 or something along that line
John Bruh
you know you can make more than 1000 wheel with a lsx smaller than you listed and single turbo...

Rgreen
Ya I know I don't know how I would put a big single up front with radiator, what size motor and Turbo would you recomend
spooling 1g
Why not a rb swap?
Rgreen
I really haven't thought about a RB I'm more familiar with supra, do you think RB would more cost effective and reliable than 2jz
pontiacfreak142
hell if done right, you can make 1000 on a built 346 cube LS1
Alty941647545539
Why not a rb swap? +1000 Keep it in the family...RB26DETT The RB is a strong motor. If you can find one from one of the jap shops online, the better choice would be the ultra rare RB26DETT Z2. It uses the stronger RB26 N-1 block, modified with Nismo parts, bored and stroked to 2.8 L (87.0 x 77.7 mm) , which produces 510 bhp and 540 N·m of torque. Rgreen
Accelarated performance would build my motor if I go with supra they are great motors
Linn1647545492
If you are going to have fitment issues I would put a 2jz motor in the car or a RB
boosted98gst
I can get you any rb you want, let me know. since your in springfield you can come check out my rb swapped car anytime. If you have the coin , I can get brand new crate rb26 n1 blocks and cranks also. Or if you want to go big boy you can rb30 /26 or 25 head. I know guys over 600whp on stock rb25 bottoms ends, There are guys in the states running mid 9's on stock rb bottom ends, stock they are not powerful but with the right combo they are amazing. If you go the rb route let me know.

Rgreen
I will come check out the RB swap, what's it in a 240?
boosted98gst
The lsx is a great great powerplant no doubt about that, its just so overdone anymore, if your just building an all out drag type car id say go for it, but the rb is a stout engine also. here is a guy from nico with his 350z
Rgreen
Nice let me know I will check it out
TurboRust
maybe i'm incorrect, but I think and lsx would be a shit ton cheaper to do than a 2jz, but if money isnt an issue the f it.

neonkiller
The lsx motor was 14k and 2jz 11k that's high end parts I dont get it you want a 2jz or a lsx and are going to hinson to get it done?... THey told you high end parts? WTF are you kidding how about proven parts anything can be high end doesnt mean its gonna last long. Better ask them about a warranty see what they say then. No doubt the 2jz is a strong motor, but IMHO Nissan's RB is nothing to sneeze at either. The 2.6 can be stroked to 3.1 and a big single turbo setup = MONSTER..... And yes I'm a Nissan fanboy so take my opinion with a grain of salt I guess.
